The award serves as a symbol of recognition and appreciation for individual driving forces within the industry who tackles challenges and overcomes obstacles, making significant contributions to Swedish Life Science. The winner of the Biotech Builders Award is announced and presented at the annual Biotech Builders event.

The winner of this year’s BiotechBuilders Award is: Ulf Landegren

Ulf Landegren has spent over four decades fundamentally shaping Swedish life science. As professor of molecular medicine at Uppsala University, he has left his deepest mark as an entrepreneur and mentor — co-founding companies including Olink, Halo Genomics, Q-Linea and Navinci, and nurturing a generation of researchers and entrepreneurs through his research group. His work has produced tools that make it possible to understand disease more precisely, match treatments to patients, and reveal what was previously invisible within the cell — research with real impact on both Swedish industry and human health. Ulf Landegren is a very worthy recipient of BiotechBuilders' Award 2026.
